Chosen for Cancer
One woman’s story of finding hope in the midst of stage IV breast cancer.
Pam Scheid feels that she chosen to face breast cancer, meaning that it was not a random accident, but something she was destined to face.
And as difficult as it has been, it has also opened the door for her to experience great hope in her life through a relationship with God.
She wants others to find this hope, too.
The most important decision
“The most important event in my life happened in August 2000, at age 42, when I made the decision to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 says, “That if you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” That decision changed my life.”
Making your own decision
As she said in the video, even if you have never prayed, today is a great day to start.
“Just talk to God, just talk to him,” she says.
He’ll speak to you. He will. He’s not going to leave you.”

Editor’s note: Pam passed away peacefully on February 28, 2020. But her hopeful spirit lives on, as does her desire to see more people discover the joy of connecting with God.
