Send Words of Hope Series
Our greeting cards and special guide of what to say will help you encourage someone with cancer.
Everyone knows someone facing cancer.
We created the Send Words of Hope series greeting cards to help you to encourage someone you know with cancer.
From poppy pairings to blooming orchids, these six cards with floral images by renowned nature photographer Paul Schiller are the perfect way to send hope.
“Cancer is a journey filled with pain, fear and loneliness,” says Chris Lawrence, founder of Hope Has Arrived. “A few words of love from you will bring light into a dark day,”
And unlike real flowers, these cards won’t spoil or fade.
Help from a guide
All too often, people hold back from sending words of encouragement to someone facing cancer because they don’t know what to say.
That’s why we created this series.
Besides the beautiful cards, included in the pack is a special guide of what words to say, and what not to say to someone with cancer, written by an experienced cancer chaplain. His articles on this topic continue to prove popular on hopehasarrived.com
“Join us in sending words of hope today,” says Chris Lawrence.
What each pack includes
- Six greeting cards; one of each floral design
- Six envelopes
- Blank inside; words of hope on the back
- 2-page guide of what to say and what not to say from an experienced cancer chaplain

More about the images
The images were taken by Paul Schiller from Acts of Nature photography. His work hangs in many cancer centers in the Midwest and 99 percent of the photos on hopehasarrived.com come from his collection. To learn more about his work see, Behind the Photos.
“This series illustrates that if you have a belief in a higher power, then you are “never alone””, says Paul. “It’s a direct and powerful message when someone needs hope under adverse circumstances.”
More about the flower selections
The six images, from left to right starting at the top, are as follows:
- “About to Bloom” is an apple blossom surrounded by its budding neighbors and friends.
- “Mountain Duo” is columbine flower backed up by another blossom.
- “Nice Landing” is a lone leaf that has fallen onto a small bed of ferns.
- “Orchid Perfection” is a beautiful collection of orchids in full bloom.
- “Outstanding” is a lone yellow tulip surrounded by a whole tulip gathering.
- “Poppy Pairing” is a pairing of poppies strong, proud and beautiful.
“So many people want to send hope but end up not sending the right message,” Paul says. “With the Send Words of Hope series, we give them help and hope.”
For each packet of cards, we are asking for a suggested donation of $20 + shipping.
Note: No one receives any kind of salary or benefit from Hope Has Arrived. All proceeds from the sale of Send Words of Hope go directly into helping us reach more people with the message of hope, strength and peace against cancer.
