In his own words…
Every day is a gift. I thought I knew that before cancer, but my experience with cancer reinforced this truth to me in the most profound way possible.
No one is guaranteed a tomorrow. Everyone’s life is fragile, whether you have cancer or not. So, today, I choose to live in hope. I choose to do good with the days I have. I choose to love the family and friends in my life, and seek to help others find hope, strength and peace.
The power of hope
People often asked me what going through cancer has taught me. I say it showed me the power of hope.
Before cancer, I thought hope was abstract or wishy washy. Yet now I understand its true vitality.
Hope is the belief of a good outcome, one that continues to drive us and move us toward a goal despite opposing forces that scream the opposite.

Experience with cancer
I’ve faced the pit of cancer. I know what it’s like to have a doctor (three actually) say there is no hope and that you only have a year to live.
I understand what the paralyzing fear is like. You can read my cancer story here.
While I would never have chosen this journey, I’m thankful for the good that has come from it, including starting Hope Has Arrived.
My new purpose
I want to help people find hope and live life to the fullest—to experience every day as a gift, even if our time is shorter than we would like. If you want to discover the four ways that Hope Has Arrived helps people find hope, check out Find Hope Now.
